Dinner at Stone with the fam...

Our out-of-towners are still visiting for the rest of the week, so we headed out to Stone for dinner tonight.

Here is a group picture, we were also joined by my Aunt and Uncle's good friends Greg and Linda.

We enjoyed some appetizers and some beverages out on the patio before dinner.

Emma got a little taste of my dad's lime...

... I guess she thought it was a bit tart.
I only wish I could have caught a straight on picture of her face, darn!

She ended up passing out, and Douggie, being the excellent father that he is, made sure to shield her from his food.

The talk and laughs of the night came from my mom.
She really felt like eating ribs, and a comment was made earlier, "are there ever any bad ribs?"
Well that jinxed it right there.
The ribs weren't bad, but they were so spicy!!!
Being a trooper, she decided to eat them all except the few bites she gave to others to prove that they were spicy.

Aww, a little photo op for Douggie and me.

I love family!

Tonight we went out to dinner with my Uncle Mike and Aunt Cindy (in town from Seattle), Aunt Pam and Nikki (in town from Vegas), Omar, Ebit, Jacob and the folks.

Aunt Cindy, Aunt Pam, Nikki, Dad and Mom.

Me, Jacob, Ebit, Omar, Uncle Mike and Aunt Cindy

Douggie and Jacob.
I am not sure what he was doing with the forks?!?!

Poor little Emma slept through dinner and missed out on the fun.
It's a good thing we are getting together for dinner tomorrow night, maybe she will have a chance to catch up then.

Since Jacob ate most of his dinner he got to go play the car game. He was thrilled!

Thank you for a fun dinner everyone, and a special thank you to Uncle Mike and Aunt Cindy!

Peas!!!

Emma has been doing so well with all of her new food introductions. We are on our last one and it is peas.

She wasn't too sure of her first taste.

But then as you can tell she really enjoyed it.
Our little girl is such a good girl and growing so fast.

She has started to fill out with the introduction of food, but is still far from chunky. With her love for food, we will chunk her up in no time!

Jacobs' soccer game

This morning we went to Jacob's soccer game.
He was a bit shy at first which was out of the norm, but then really enjoyed playing goalie.

He stopped a goal!!! and then focused on his throw to his team mates.

Good game guys!

An evening at the fair...

Yesterday evening we took a little trip to the fair.
It was a beautiful evening and we invited Abuelita Rose to join us. Poor Papa Bob had to work late so he couldn't join us, but we did bring him a surprise! :)

Can I tell you how happy I get when I walk down the midway, ahhhh you can just smell all of the calories that we are about to consume.

And no, we did not try the chocolate covered bacon that everyone was talking about.
I think I'll stick to my fav, the county fair cinnamon roll, yummy!

Emma was even day-dreaming about what she wants to come back and eat next year. She had to stick to her bottle for now.

Watching the turkeys play and Abuelita Rose enjoying a little ice cream.

E is for Emma!

Emma in the Fleetwood Mac cutout. Sorry I didn't have time to get a picture without a glare, because our little missy decided to try and gnaw on the inside of the hole for her head. Kinda gross, considering how many people had put their head through it, ewwwww!

This year's fair theme was 'Music Mania' so we toured the activity area and saw lots of cool music exhibits, Douggie was in heaven!

The only ride we went on was the tram to and from the parking lot.

I took this picture seconds before the 'high as a kite' and all tatted up man sat next to me. He was trying to go to the main gate and got all mixed up and got on the shuttle back to the parking lot. He was even talking to us, so we thought, but it turns out he was just talking to himself. I wish I would have captured a picture of the disgusted look on my mom's face.

Then a little bath once we got home.
This little girl loves her baths!

What a great night, thank you abuelita for coming with us.

Sweet potatoes and a toot to boot!

Here is our little girl eating her sweet potatoes. Turns out she really likes them, but that's not a surprise, because she seems to like all baby food.

Listen very closely at the end, and you will think she ate beans or something before.
Such a cute little toot, but Douggie had to stop the video because we were both laughing.

24 Weeks!!!

Our little girl is now 24 weeks old. Wow...I'm starting to see how much our little girl is growing and changing.

She's a little tired in this picture but still looks adorable. We love you Emma!

Everything is bigger in Texas!

We lived up Father's day with a fun filled family day.

We slept in and then went to the hotel breakfast.
then off to the mall,
played at Amazing Jake's
played in the pool,
had some dinner,
and then some ice cream sundaes in the room.
What a great day!

Happy 1st Father's Day Douggie!

Amazing Jake's, and boy was it amazing.
You pay for the buffet to get in and they give you a $5 game card. It was the best money we could have ever spent to keep 7 kiddos entertained for hours.

Emma's 1st dip in a pool, and she loved it!

But sad to say all good things must come to an end!
Here is our little traveler waiting to get on the plane home this morning.

Thank you to Connie, Richard, Caubbie, Uncle, Raven, Victoria, Ricardo Jr., Zeke, Cris, David, Anyssa, Ebit, Jacob, Rose, Ruben, Kelleen, Caitlyn, Douggie and Emma for making the trip to Texas so memorable.

And thank you to the Texas Aguinaga family for hosting such a great wedding weekend!

We had a fabulous time!

Lisa and Mark's Wedding

The wedding was held at the Swingin' D Ranch, and it was just perfect!

The vows

The armadillo groom's cake.
Remind you of Steele Magnolia's anyone?
"People are going to be hacking in to this poor animal that looks like it's bleeding to death!"

Ebit and Jacob

Douggie posing in the boot planter thingy.

I had a love/ hate relationship with this bridge.
I love how it looked, but I hated how old and creepy it was when you walked across it.

David, Cris, Douggie, me and Ebit.
Don't' mind Ebit and me, we just happen to look like we have a skin disorder, but it was just the reflection from the mirror.

Awww, what sweet sisters!

Daddy and Emma

Grandma Rose was loving spending time with Emma.

Can we say drool!
But even so, she is still so adorable.

Lisa and Mark cutting the cake.

The boys singing, "You've lost that loving feeling" while he took off the garter.

Jacob fell asleep and stayed passed out on the chairs.

Richard, Larry and Charles ( my cousin Sara's son).

I LOVED this sign above the door to the reception.

So much so, that when we were leaving I was singing the darn song all the way to the car. I was even doing the clapping part and trying to make everyone else join in. And of course the wine that I was treating myself to had nothing to do with the singing. :)

SO much FUN!

As kids, we took some long a** drives to Mexico. They seemed to take forever, but they also made so many memories for us all.

This trip brought back so many of those fun times traveling with all of my cousins, and now all of our kids traveling together as well.

The big cousins all agreed that we have to do more road trips in the near future.

Mmm...God blessed Texas

God blessed Texas with His own hand
Brought down angels from the promised land
Gave 'em a place where they could dance
If you wanna see heaven brother here's your chance
I've been sent to spread the message
God blessed Texas
"God blessed Texas" by Little Texas

So we took a little trip to Texas this weekend and I couldn't get that darn song out of my head!

We went to my cousin Lisa's wedding. Lisa is my uncle Jesse's daughter and they moved to Texas years and years ago. When the chance came up for a visit, the whole family jumped on it.

Most of the family drove, but we decided to fly.

It was Emma's 1st plane ride, and she did a great job and behaved herself.

We had a connecting flight on the way there and they even let Emma have her own seat. It was so nice to have her car seat on the plane, she slept that entire flight.

Once we got to Dallas we headed over to the rehearsal dinner at this fun little Mexican food place. The food was yummy, even the Mexicans thought it was good, so you know it was. :)

My mom's cousin Federico and his family even flew in from Mexico for the wedding.

I know I am far from a professional photographer, but I think I captured what a beautiful night it was. And I think the sweat stains on all of our clothes captured how HOT it was. I can handle the heat, but something about this weather was insane!

The Stephens family, sweaty and all.
