Park of the week #1

Tonight we started out our summer park fun with our first park of the week for 2012.
We went back to an old favorite - Mulberry Park in San Marcos.
Papa, Abuelita and JuJu joined us for a picnic and some playtime.

It was warm this evening, so the spray-ground was perfect.

I love Emma's crazy static hair.

We are looking forward to all of our park adventures this summer!

2 Weeks

Yesterday was Elle turned 2 weeks old.

We are having so much fun with this little girl.
She is a great snuggle friend, just like her big sister.

She is also a great eater.
I am so excited to see how much she has grown at her two week appointment next week.
Her adorable little cheeks have gotten a little more chunky and that makes them even more adorable.

We are enjoying every second with her.
And we love watching big sis Emma give Elle lots and lots of love and kisses.

Lots of fun on Friday

We had a lot of fun yesterday.
It started out with a doughnut and bagel breakfast with my girls.

Then Emma got her very own library card.
She checked out 2 books that she picked out all by herself.
Thanks for the great idea Ebit!

Then we went and signed up Emma for her Ballet class.
We also went shopping for her ballet dress and shoes.
She is so excited to start her ballet class next week!

In the evening we headed to Victoria's softball tournament.
The kids had a great time playing together.

And Victoria's team had a huge win!
Way to go Victoria!!!

Children's museum

Thursday afternoon we went to the Children's Museum with Abuelita and JuJu.
I have been wanting to go ever since they moved to their new location.
The kids had a great time playing and exploring.

Little Elle had a great time napping.

Elle's 1st real bath

Elle had her very first real bath on Thursday morning.
She was a little hesitant at first but she seemed to enjoy it.

Our little lady looks so cute in the bathtub!

On my own

Today was my first day on my own with the girls.
Douggie had to make a day trip for work, so it was all me.

It was the first time I had to balance getting a shower and watching the girls by myself.
Emma was an angel and watched tv.
Elle was also an angel and sat in her swing for the first time.

We headed out to Target and once again the girls were great.

Then we headed over to my parents' house for a visit.
It was nice to have a little break and have some help.

On our way home both girls fell asleep.
It made it a little interesting getting the girls and all of our gear in the house, but we managed.

Overall I think the 3 of us did pretty well.
It may have taken us a little longer to get out the door, but we did it!

The Fair

Yesterday evening we went to the fair.
Emma had already been, but we wanted to make a special trip there as a family.

We ran in to my cousin Cris and her family.

This was Elle's first time at the fair, and I can't wait to bring her back next year.

Emma went for a pony ride and had a great time.

She also loved the foot massage.

 Emma and her purple alien.
So funny that the alien was the special prize she wanted.

Sweet Elle slept through most of the fair.

I love the fair.
the cinnamon rolls
the food
the fun
and this year was extra special because we had two little girls to share it with.

Pool time

This afternoon we went swimming at the pool in my cousin's neighborhood.

Emma had so much fun swimming with the big kids and we found out she has gotten pretty brave.

This was Elle's very first time at the pool!
And please don't worry, I only had her in the sun for a second so I could take a picture. She spent the entire afternoon safe in the shade.

This cracks me up... Emma decided to sunbathe with Anyssa.
Looks like Emma should have started getting some sun a little earlier to catch up with Anyssa.

Elle's open house

This afternoon we hosted an open house for friends and family to come and meet our little Elle.
I was terrible and didn't take 1 single picture of friends or family that stopped by.
I did take some before and after pictures and thought I should at least post something.

Emma loved the decorations in the kitchen and even convinced me to leave them up for a few days.

After the guests left Emma held her baby sister for the very first time.

And Daddy and Elle took a long nap together.
These two look so sweet snuggling together.

We are so thankful to all of our friends and family who stopped by.
I really do feel bad that I didn't take any pictures.

Sisters are the best!

These two little girls are so darn cute together.
Emma loves her little sister so much.
She gives her the best kisses and gives them often.

I love my sister so much and I love that we are very close.
It makes me so happy to know that these two can be just as close.

And I love these two girls in their matching outfits.
