29 (weeks) and feeling fine.

I love this little gal!!!

This little face cracks me up.

And this little shot shows two of my favorite things, her eyes and her smile. They are both perfect!

Mama and daddy love you lots!

Happy Birthday Douggie!

So I am about 30 minutes early with this birthday shout out. Since I love him so much, I think he deserves an extra 30 minutes of well wishing.

From the moment we brought our little girl home, I knew that you were not only the world's best husband, but you were becoming the perfect daddy for Emma!

You are also the best bath giver.

Your smile and dimples make our family photos that much cuter! :)

I love your sweet little kisses to Emma.

I love that you find so much joy in teasing me and picking out crazy outfits for Emma. And I love it even more that you give me veto power on them.

Did I mention I love your sweet kisses to Emma.

I gave in and let Douggie open his present tonight instead of waiting until tomorrow.
Emma helped open it, she loves tissue paper.

Then she inspected his new ipod, I think she gave it her approval.

Happy Birthday Douggie!
I love you so much and I am the luckiest girl in the world to have met you!!!
I hope you have a great day.

Vegas!!!

So this may be a bit of picture overload, but we had such a great time so I wanted to share lots of pictures.

Started out Friday morning with some cocktails at 9 am while waiting at the airport.
We were lucky enough to fly instead of drive. The other half of the group was even more lucky and they flew in on Stephanie's families private jet... crazy.
Stephanie is Bri and Tyler's cousin.

A little self portrait while getting ready for dinner.

Stephanie, Noel and Hannah on our way to dinner.
Stephanie was kind enough to hire a limo for us all weekend.

Bri, Noel and Tyler at dinner at Nobu in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Then we went to the Blink 182 show at Hard Rock, it was a great show!

We started Saturday morning off by a few minutes of gambling.
Bri won $4 in just 2 minutes, and it was her 1st time ever gambling. I would say that she is pretty lucky.

Me and Douggie in front of the Paris fountain.

Then we hit up the Cheesecake factory for my Birthday lunch.
Doug's good friend since childhood Dave joined us.

Then we hit up the pool.

And these lovely beer maids served up some cocktails.
Since it was so hot they decided to cross through the pool instead of walking all of the way around.

All ready for a birthday dinner at the Venetian.

Then we were once again spoiled by Stephanie with table service of 5 bottles at Tao.
Needless to say we had a great time!

Such a fun group!

Douggie and Tyler.

Me, Stephanie and Bri.

As we were leaving the club Stephanie was tired of holding her new purse so I gladly carried it for her. She just bought this Louis V. that afternoon and I don't think I have ever carried such an expensive purse. She said it looked good on me... maybe that means she will pass it on to me when she is done with it. Hey, I can dream can't I.

Our fabulous roomies.

Snoop Dog
When we headed to the airport we happened to walk through the door with Snoop Dog.

And the best part of the entire trip was coming home to little Emma! :)

She is almost crawling.
This is about as close as she can get with out officially crawling.
We have been encouraging her so I am thinking it will be coming along soon.

We had a fabulous time with the group.
A special thank you to Stephanie for her generosity, she sure spoiled us this weekend.

We are gonna miss her...

... every inch of her, all 28 3/4 of them!

Tomorrow morning Douggie and I leave bright and early to go to Vegas for our 1st weekend, actually 1st night away to be exact. We haven't been away from Emma over night, so this is a big deal. Abuelita Rose & Papa Bob will be taking care of Emma as well as our kitties and house. And then Tía Lizzy & Tío Omar will be taking her for a night. I know that she will be spoiled to death and most importantly given the best care possible, but we are still going to miss her.

We will be celebrating our friend Tyler's 21st bday as well as Douggie's and of course my bday.

I thought of packing her in my carry on, but then I decided I can't be selfish. I think Abuelita and Tía would be very sad if they didn't get to spend the weekend with her.

I love this little picture from last night, she passed out while watching t.v. in daddy's arms, so precious. I love it because of her resting her head on her hand, and her belly hanging out of her jammies and because her little legs are crossed.

And you gotta love her onesie, I know her dada does. I bought this onesie before Emma was born and it finally fits. No worries, Doug loves it, so I didn't offend him.

Guess who can sit up on her own?!
Emma can!!! Well she is still a bit wobbly, but this is pretty darn close. So happy that she pulled this little trick out of her bag before we left.

We will miss you sweetie, and if you are a good girl we will bring you back some cheesy Vegas souvenir.

28 Weeks

So here I am again talking/typing about how another week has flown by!
But really, time is flying by so fast.
We are trying to enjoy every second of it before our little baby is all grown up.

Come on, look at those eyes... they are crazy beautiful!
Tonight Emma enjoyed some of mama's home made baby food. I am getting much better at this, now my menu includes sweet potatoes, apples and peaches with oatmeal. She seems to be liking them all so far, and I do have her taste them each time I make something new.

Tonight we had a little play time in the saucer. I love this little clip because Emma gets so excited to see Corona. You can't see her in the video, but I was holding her right next to the camera. And Emma proves to be a bit of a genius, because she even pushed the cat button on her saucer while she was looking at Corona. OK, so maybe that was just a coincidence, but I still think she is pretty smart.

Happy 28 weeks String Bean!!!

6 months doctor appointment

This morning, we took a little trip to see Dr. McCormick.
As usual Emma is doing fabulously!

Her stats are:
Height - 28 3/4 inches - OVER 97%
Weight - 16 lbs. 1 oz. - 25%
Head - 43 cm - 25%
Once again none of this was a surprise, we have got a tall, skinny kid with a small head.

Such a cute little nudie!

She loved Dr. McCormick's tongue depressor so much she even stole it from her.

Poor little gal had to get 1 oral vaccine and 2 shots. :(

But as you can tell from tonight's bath time, the shots didn't seem to affect her!
This was Emma's very first bubble bath.

Country Fest North!!!

Last night Abuelita Rose was kind enough to watch little Emma for us, while we went to Countryfest North. It is a $5 concert that a local country station put on, and we had a great time. Bombshell, James Otto and Joe Nichols were playing.

We were joined by Karen, Kevin, Noel and Bri, kinda fun because we all played soccer together in the morning.

Now comes the funny part...
10 things that you can only see at a $5 country concert, in no particular order.
Since I was DD, I had a little extra time on my hands while everyone else was in the beer line.

1. Sandals where your pinky toes are too short for the strap, just plain funny and uncomfy looking.

Then of course we all thought it was funny, so we tried it out ourselves.

2. A man with an incredibly long beard.

3. A great mullet.
(with a Tommy Bahama shirt, makes it even better.)

4. Taking your dirty shoes off, because in fact the cement is actually cleaner than your grungy old shoes.

5. Smoking a joint in public, and standing up so that everyone can see you.

6. Wearing no shirt and sunglasses when it is already dark
.
7. A grown man on top of another grown man's shoulders for a piggy back ride... weird!

8. Nothing like a little grinding with your wife. This picture doesn't do it justice, sorry.

9. Drinking the left over beer from all of your old cups. Oh Noel, gross!

10. A man in overalls and to top it off a camo hat.

Wow this place was a people watcher's dream! We had ourselves a fabulous time, and we even bought tickets for the next $5 concert in October, where Lady Antebellum is playing.

Then we had a little singing at the top of our lungs session on the way home to 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.' Yes I was DD, but who can resist a little GJWHF?!
