Christmas morning

We had a wonderful Christmas morning.
The girls were so excited to open their gifts from Santa.

Emma got the Santa doll she asked for and Elle got the Peppa Pig doll she asked for. Lucky girls!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning.

After we opened gifts, we finished packing up and headed to Texas.
More to come on our trip to Dallas for my cousin Larry's wedding.

Christmas Eve

12/24/14
On Christmas Eve we exchanged gifts at home.

Emma got Corona "Grumpy Cat" and says that they look so much alike that they could be twins.

Elle got a trampoline and is always jumping.

Emma got Isabelle, the American Girl doll of the year.

In the evening we headed off to church with family.

Elle's Christmas gift

Uncle Andy and Aunt Tami were so sweet and gave the girls wonderful Christmas gifts.
Emma loves her Legos.
Elle's gift is so noisy and I love it!
It is so much fun to watch her play the drum set.
Funny thing is, we don't even mind the noise. She looks adorable and loves it, so we love it too!

Emma's Kindergarten Christmas Program

12/18/14
Emma's kindergarten classes had their Christmas Program.

Emma with her BFF Maddy

Emma with her teacher Mrs. S.

And one more, because Emma's pose is hilarious!

We were so thankful that Papa, Abuelita, Jacob and Aunt Lizzy were able to come watch the program.

Elle's School Christmas Party

Elle's Preschool had their Christmas Party.
Doug was lucky to be able to stop in for some of the fun.

 12/19/14
Elle's Preschool had their Christmas Program at church.
Elle was adorable and did such a great job. She seemed really excited to be dancing and singing with her friends.

Emma lost her first tooth!

12/16/14
Emma lost her first tooth!
She was so excited and so happy that the tooth fairy came to visit her.

12/22/14
Emma lost her second tooth.
Man she kept the tooth fairy busy!

Back to the Safari Park

12/13/14
We decided to make another trip to the Safari Park since Doug hadn't been in a while.

We had such a great time watching the lions.
They were so close and the three lion cubs were so playful.

Last soccer game of the season.

12/11/14
Team Fire had their last game of the season.
Emma had such a great time playing soccer and loved that her daddy was one of the coaches.

Emma and her cousin Andrew

Rachel and Emma

Thank you to Heather and Doug for being such great coaches this season!

Our tree

While our friends were in town, we went to the Pinery Tree Farm and picked out our Christmas tree.

Abuelita and Papa joined us and picked out their tree as well.

Good friends

We had some great friends come for a visit in December.
My middle school/high school friend Lisa and her oldest daughter Nina came to see us.

We played, picked out our Christmas tree, had Mexican food & margaritas, went to the park, went to Christmas Card Lane, shopped, went to another park and then had more friends over for dinner.

Then more good friends Allyson and her daughter Rayna joined in on the fun.

This was our first time visiting the new Tiger Trail exhibit and we loved it!

It was so fun to have Rayna's Grandpa Paul there as well.
He is a volunteer at the Safari Park and he gave us a fun tour of the exhibit.

It was so great to catch up with Allyson and Lisa.
We are so lucky that they were able to come and visit.

Way to go Emma!

12/4/14
Emma received an award for the first trimester at school.
There was a special kindergarten awards ceremony and it was so sweet of Papa and Abuelta to come.

She received the Academic Achievement Award and we are so proud of her!

Santa

12/2/14
We went to the mall, had dinner and then went to visit Santa.
It was a rainy evening, so we came in cozy clothes and then the girls got a little fancy for their picture with Santa.
Elle was not thrilled with Santa, but did a great job. She was ok, as long and Emma was nearby.

November

Our November...

Emma's Sanderson Farms commercial was released and we couldn't be more proud of her!

We went on our first desert trip of the season and had a great time.

 We celebrated Jillian's 6th Birthday!

We drove to Arizona to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with GG Bob and GG Margaret.

While we were in AZ, we celebrated Omar's Birthday.

We also were able to see Emma's commercial on TV. Sadly it doesn't air at home, so we were so excited to see it in AZ.

We had a fun double date to the movies with Liz and Omar.
We had so much fun in Arizona and we look forward to visiting again soon.

We had our annual day before Thanksgiving breakfast at the Omelet House.

We ran the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.
Liz ran the 5 mile and Doug & I ran the 5K.
This was our second year running it and we had a great time.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Uncle Ruben & Aunt Kelleen's.
We also stopped off at the house on Knob Hill to see the first night of their Christmas display.

The girls did a little black Friday shopping with me.

We went to Bates Nut Farm with Anyssa and Ava for their craft fair and had lots of fun.

And Doug put up our Christmas lights while the girls had a dance party.

We had a super busy month, but we enjoyed every second of it.
