Emma is 2 and a half!

I will have to share the rest of these soon.

This past week Emma officially turned 2 and a half!
She is one of the funniest/silliest/cutest 2 and half year olds I know.
We love her to pieces and couldn't be more proud of her.

Here are some of the new things going on in little Emma's world these days...

- Her favorites foods include chicken nuggets, pb & j, yogurt, mandarin oranges and bananas.

- She is about 80% potty trained. Not 100% because she doesn't really tell us that she needs to go on her own, we have to constantly remind and ask her. She has gone pee pee on the potty for a long time now, but it was always just something for fun. We decided to get a little more serious about it these past few weeks. She has been doing so well.

- She has developed a pretty impressive imagination. She loves to make believe and play with her little people, barbies and babies. Those little people have been on a ton of bus rides recently. :)

- She loves books! Each night we read some before bed and she gets so excited. She also likes to read them on her own throughout the day. She has some favorites like "No David" and "Baby Bear Baby Bear," but she loves all books in general.

- Emma loves to "fix" everything. Sometimes she still thinks that her pink hammer can fix anything.

- Emma has a crazy good memory. She likes to tell me real life stories and always starts them out with "member Mama?" Then she goes on to tell the story with crazy specific details.

- She has always been very independent, but we are hearing things like "Emma do it" more often now. Her favorite thing is to help us buckle the top buckle in her car seat.

- She is really in to picnics or pinic as she calls them. She gets very excited for our weekly trips to the park because she knows we are going to have a picnic there. We also have lots of play picnics on the floor with her blankets.

- Emma has started becoming a little more cautious. Things she used to love to do, she now has to think about them and ease into them. Last year at the fair Emma loved the rides. This year she only really liked them if Mama went on them with her.

- She has some new favorite tv shows including Peppa Pig, and Max & Ruby. She also still loves YGG and Fresh Beat Band. She is kind of over Bubble Guppies and Imagination Movers.

- She can drink apple juice like nobody's business, she also really likes chocolate milk, lemonade, and water but only if it has ice. She has never really been a fan of regular milk.

-Emma is so sweet and is always telling us that she loves us. The best part is that she does it on her own and gives a hug and kiss when she says it.

- She is very aware of other people's feelings. She doesn't like to hear babies crying and often says with a very sad face "baby crying." When she does notice that someone is sad she immediately wishes for their happiness by saying " (whoever is sad) SO HAPPY!!!"

- She loves to play with her babies and has even started to have a pretend baby that she is always holding on her shoulder. I always ask her if she wants one of her real babies, but she says "no baby on my shoulder."

- Her kitchen toys are still hands down her favorite. Recently her new pink v-tech laptop is a close second, she loves to "work."

I can't tell you how fun it is to just watch this little girl.
She is growing so much everyday and I can't wait to watch her grow even more.
Although sometimes I do wish that I could keep her just as she is for a little while.

We love this little 2 and a half year old!
