This past Saturday Emma had her 1st real haircut.
Technically this could be considered her 2nd because of my shenanigans here.
We went to Kids Kuts here in Esco. Rene was Emma's stylist and she did such a great job, and so did Emma!!! Emma couldn't have been more perfect. Sure Douggie had to distract her with his phone, his watch and toys now and then, but she sat so still.
Please excuse the pictures, we did remember to bring our real camera, but the darn battery was dead. Oh well, that is what they have camera phones for.
They have a fun castle theme there, so of course Emma had to play in the castle.
So excited for her new hair do.
She LOVED the combs, Rene even gave her two to play with.
She was so funny, because she tried to comb her own hair.
What a pretty girl!
Some of you may be thinking, "Isn't she too young for a haircut?" Well it was more of a trim. Her bangs were getting a bit too long and they started getting in her eyes.
When I first mentioned to Douggie that I thought she should get a haircut, it went a little something like this...
Me: I think we should get Emma's hair cut, but not her curls in the back, just her bangs.
Douggie: So you mean you want her to have a mullet? Because if you leave her back long and the front short, that's what it'll be.
Douggie, sometimes you can be so right.
So we told Rene, "please keep as much of the curls in the back as you can, without giving her a mullet. She laughed and did exactly as we asked.
After Emma's haircut we went and watched Ricardo Jr.'s b-ball game and then headed to the Carlsbad mall. Since Emma was such a good girl, Dada took her for a ride on the carousel.

So Doug, you have this GREAT camera and the battery went dead? Didn't I teach you anything?
BTW, Emma - glad you didn't have a mullet. I think you are divine.
