Our Napa getaway

We had such a great weekend in Napa.
This was our 2nd trip there (we also went for our 1 year anniversary) and we had a fabulous time again.

We flew into Oakland and then drove over to Napa.
In the rental car and off to our 1st stop... Old Navy, because I was silly and forgot my jacket at home. It was a chilly and rainy weekend, so a new jacket was a must.

Napa is beautiful in the fall, even when it is wet and rainy.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Napa and we enjoyed our stay there.
They had a beautiful garden area with a pond full of ducks and swans.

Our 1st stop in Napa was Jessup Cellars.
This was a favorite from our last trip so we figured it would be a great way to start off the trip.

Then we went to lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni and it was delicious.

Tasting at Goose Cross Cellars,

and then tasting at Silverado Vineyards.
We met a really nice lady who was a wine member and she let us use her guest pass and taste the Library tastings. Dave, from Silverado, was even so nice and let us taste a 1985 Cabernet Sauvignon, it was amazing!

A little more tasting at Silenus,

and even more tasting at Threfeten Family Vineyards.

We headed back to the hotel just in time for the nightly happy hour reception.
Side note: it is never a good idea to drink cheap hotel wine after enjoying really good wine.
Man that was a bad headache, ugh!

Dinner at FARM at the Carneros Inn.

Then Saturday morning we drove around Yountville and we fell in love all over again.
It is such a great downtown and it is home of some pretty amazing restaurants like the French Laundry, Redd, Hurleys and Bistro Bouchon.

We got some yummy breakfast treats at Bouchon Bakery.

Then we were ready for some more tasting.
We were so lucky to have my good friend from high school, Allyson and her husband Cagdas meet up with us. They live just south of the bay area, so they drove over Saturday morning to join in on the fun.

We took a little guided tour and visited Hagafen, Black Stallion, Arger-Marticcui and Hopper Creek wineries.

We had a great tour, and thankfully none of us ended up like this girl...
She was passed out in the lobby and was even snoring.

Then dinner at Mustards Grill, yummy!
We also went there on our last trip, and loved it, so we wanted to go again.

Sunday morning we drove up to St. Helena and found some goodies at Dean & Deluca.

Then an amazing brunch at Ad Hoc... seriously good food!!!

Aerial View of Nicholson
Did a little tasting at Nicholson Ranch in Sonoma

Then to another favorite from our last trip, Artesa.
We met up with Allyson and Cagdas once again.
We wanted to share the amazing views with them.

We had such a great trip and we are so thankful that Allyson and Cagdas were able to make the trip with us.

We are also so thankful for Ah who watched Emma the entire weekend with help from Papa and Aunt Liz.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We can't wait to go back!
