A few weeks back Elle had a visit with her metabolic specialist at Children's hospital.
Her last visit was in September and they wanted to see how she was doing off of her medication.
They had already researched her case of MCAD and they discovered that it is very mild.
She is still doing great off of her medication and we got great news...
no more appointments with the specialist!
They would like her to get blood work each year in March to keep an eye on her levels.
If they are good, we are free from specialist visits!
We still have to be careful when it comes to fasting and fevers, but otherwise she is in great health.
She still has MCAD, but we are thankful she will not need to be seen by a specialist on a regular basis.
