Emma's trip to the fair

Yesterday afternoon Emma went to the fair with Papa, Abuelita, Aunt and JuJu.
She had so much fun!

She was a little bit more brave this year and went on more rides.

She even rode an elephant.

She was so excited to come home last night and tell us all about her trip to the fair.
Thank you to Papa, Abuelita and Aunt for taking her.
Thank you to JuJu for going on all of the rides with her.
She is one lucky little girl!

Elle is 1 week old!

Little miss Elle is 1 week old today!
She is such a blessing and we are so lucky to have her as part of our family.

Here is a little look at her week...

She tried a bottle for the very first time.

Big sis Emma helped feed her.

She had her first sponge bath at home.
Big sis helped with this as well.

She went to the mall for her first time.

And she had her first ear rub from her sister.
Emma loves ears!

We love this little girl so much!
She is perfect in every way.

Grandpa Bob & Grandma Cherie

Monday afternoon Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cherie came to visit.
We enjoyed our week with them.

It was full of ...
A visit from Uncle Andy and Tami
Grandma and Emma tea parties
Cuddle time with Elle
Swimming with Grandpa
Dress up with Grandma
Lots of fun treats and surprises
Pedicures
A BBQ
Bath time for Emma
Pizza at Filippi's
Gelato
A trip to Stone for the guys
Story time

It was lots of fun for all of us!

Doug and Bob made some yummy bbq ribs.

We can't thank Bob and Cherie enough!
They were a big help with the girls.
We were so lucky to have them come and visit.

Elle's 1st doctor appointment

This morning we went to Elle's very first appointment with Dr. McCormick.
A special thank you to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cherie for watching Emma while we were at the appointment.

Elle dropped in her weight just a little bit.
She was born at 7 lbs 5 oz and today she weighed 6 lbs 14 oz.
Dr. McCormick said that she wasn't concerned with her weight and that she looks really healthy!

She did give us a bit of unfortunate news. Elle tested positive for one of the newborn screenings they did at the hospital. We have to do some more testing before we know if she does in fact have the deficiency. After the appointment we went straight over to the lab so that they could collect her urine and blood.
Our poor little girl was such a trooper and did really well at the lab, but she did cry the entire way home. I don't blame her it was no fun for any of us.

Here is a worn out Elle and Daddy after our appointments.

We will keep our fingers crossed and say some prayers that Elle's results come back negative.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a very special Father's Day this year!
We were so lucky that our little Elle was here to celebrate with us!!!

We opened some presents this morning.

 We went to church.

After church we went to my parent's house for lunch.
After lunch we headed home and all of us took naps.

This evening we skyped with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cherie.

My parents came by for a visit.

We skyped with GG Bob, GG Margaret, Aunt Suzie, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Mike in Arizona.

Then Rhonda and Isabella came by for a visit.

We had such a great day!
And I know that Douggie couldn't have been more happy to celebrate his special day with his two little girls.

Last day of Pre-school

Today was Emma's last day of school!

She had so much fun this year.
She loved her teachers.
She made so many friends.
She learned so many things.

I know she will miss school over the summer, but she will be so excited to go back in September.

And looks like when she goes back in September we will need to buy some longer uniforms.
This little girl is not so little anymore!

3

We enjoyed some family time this evening.
These are our last few days as a family of 3 and I am trying to soak it all in.

Looking forward to being 4 soon but still loving our time as 3.

And so exciting that our pumpkins sprouted.
We can't wait to watch them grow.

The Zoo

Today Emma and I went to the San Diego Zoo with JuJu and Aunt.

We rode the tour bus and had a great view of the animals.

Look to the left of this picture and you can see the 1 week old giraffe. So cute!

After the bus ride we walked and walked and then walked some more.
We got to see so many animals.

We had such a great time.
Thank you to JuJu and Aunt for joining us!
