Tomorrow Emma turns 15 months!
And to show you all what a big girl she is becoming I will share with you the 15 words she now says...
1. Mama - Finally she says it! She teased me and called me Dada for months, but now I am officially Mama and couldn't be more proud!
2. Dada - Lucky duck, he has been able to hear her say this so sweetly for months now.
3. Papa (for Papa Bob) - She also said this way before Mama.
4. Thank you - more like "tan chu" but close enough.
5. Bye Bye - Always accompanied with a wave.
6. No No - one of my favorites, because she still shakes her finger at you when she says it or hears us say it.
7. Down - "Da", and don't try and get her to say up, because she will just say "da" to you.
8. Shoe - "Chu" and they are her favorite. A shiny shoe can always calm her down and walking around the house wearing Mama's shoe keeps her busy for a long time.
9. Bite - She no longer hangs from her high chair to tell us she is hungry, now she actually says "ba".
10. Ball - One of her new favorite things to play with outside. She is getting pretty good at kicking them... 'lil kickers here we come!
11. Juice - She gets her sippy cup out of the cabinet and says "ju" to tell us she is thirsty.
12. Banana - "ba ba" and she loves to sing the Yo Gabba Gabba Banana song.
13. Choo Choo - She says this anytime she sees a train and when she plays with Jacob's trains.
14. Wee - not really a word, but she started saying it in the swing.
And our favorite word she says...
15. Jacob - Actually pronounced "Ju Ju" and it puts a smile on my face every time she says it. She runs in to my parents house daily looking for Ju Ju. Jacob thinks it is kinda funny, and he even started calling her "Emma lu lu." With the way nick names stick in my family, Ju Ju is sure to be one for years to come.
Here are a few more words we are still working on...
Abuelita - she has said it a few times but never the same. Sometimes it is "Tita", or "Abwe" or "Lita." I practice this one every morning and I am sure we will have it down soon.
Hi - Sometimes it is "Ha" and most of the time it is just a big loving sigh like "ahhhh."
Hot - It has also been "Ha" but mostly just "No No." We have taught her well, hot things are always no no.
Little turkey, we love you so much! I look forward to our daily conversations, because they always crack me up. You say everything with such emotion, you are going to be a great story teller one day.
Happy 15 months!!!
