Sunday afternoon we ventured out to Fallbrook to a real Christmas tree farm. We found this little place last year and we decided to go back this year.
Where else, other than San Diego, do you find a Christmas tree farm with palm trees?!
Letting Emma feel the trees.
Poor thing was not feeling all that well, but she was a good sport!
A little family pic in front of our tree.
Abuelita Rose and Papa Bob joined us and posed in front of their tree.
Emma putting on the first ornament (her very own ornament) on her first Christmas tree.
Discovering the ornaments are right at her height.
She also discovered that Mama and Dada say "no no" a lot when she plays with them.
We went back and forth and ultimately decided that this year, Christmas was all about her. We kinda forgot about our worries of her messing up the tree/ornaments/presents, for the most part.
The finished product!
Yes, I do realize that the bottom is a bit bare and missing garland. I thought that would be in our best interest to have the bottom of the tree be as Emma proof as possible.
Thanks to my folks for joining us on our outing.
Thanks to Emma for smiling so big when we lit up the tree.
And a special thank you to Douggie for letting me pick out a 9 foot tree!

9' tree is just right for Doug!! And you two have discovered the wonderful thing about Christams - it's for kids. I think it's great you allow Emma to have some fun exploring the tree. It just gets better every year!!
I love that you have a fresh tree. I am too lazy to water one so we put up a fake one every year.
Marie-Where is Fallbrook is this farm? What is it called? I know someone who is interested. Emma is getting so big. She is sooooo beautiful!!! : )
Oops, this is Brianne.
Hey Brianne! The place is called Mission Pine... I think? I know that it is on Mission Rd. in Fallbrook.
