Monday afternoon Elle had a check up.
Dr. McCormick says that she is doing so well.
She still wants us to be extra careful with her because of her deficiency, but otherwise she is in great health.
Her nearly 3 month stats are...
Head circumference - 57%
Weight - 12 lbs 4 oz - 56%
Height - 23.5 inches - 62%
The red mark on her belly is a hemangioma.
A hemangioma is a benign, and usually a self-involuting tumor, (swelling or growth) of the endothelial cells that line blood vessels and is characterised by increased number of normal or abnormal vessels filled with blood. It usually appears during the first weeks of life and generally resolves by age 10. - Thank you wikipedia.
She says that we just need to keep an eye on it to make sure that it doesn't grow big really fast. It might grow slowly over the next few months and that is normal.
Big sissy Emma was there for moral support.
Poor Elle had to have 5 shots. :(
She cried for just a little bit and then took a little nap. When she woke up she was as happy as could be.
She is doing so well and we are so happy that our little lady is so healthy.
