A day at the bay

Today we spent all day at Mission Bay.

Papa, Abuelita, JuJu, Aunt, Cris, Dave, Anyssa, Andrew and Ava were all there for the fun.

It was such a beautiful day out and we all had so much fun!

Back to work already?

I am going to miss these two so much!

Tomorrow I go back to work.

I am starting back slowly just two days in the morning for now.

The girls will be with my parents and they will be in amazing hands.

But I am still not looking forward to going back to work.

We have been having so much fun together going to the beach, the zoo, sea world, the pool and lots of parks.

I know I will still have time to do lots of fun things together, but I will have to be a bit of a grown up and squeeze work in there as well.

You have to give her a few minutes to wake up because she can be a little grumpy.

Sweet little Elle!

She has been having lots of playtime and we love it, almost as much as I love those cheeks!

Play date with Harper and Drew

 Thursday we met up with Harper, Drew and their mommy at Mulberry Park in San Marcos.

This little park is one of our favorites on a hot day because of the spray ground.

The girls had a great time playing together as always.

 Drew had fun watching the girls for a little bit.

He just started walking so he didn't last long in the stroller.

This little guys is pretty fun to watch.

And Elle slept almost the entire time.

We always have so much fun with Harper, Drew and their mommy.

Can't wait until the next play date!

Park of the week #5

So for this past week we cheated a little bit.

I knew we were going to have a busy week, so we made our park the same park we were already at for Adam's birthday party.

We have been to Aviara Community Park in Carlsbad once before and we really like it.

It has a great playground.

This week we will try and get back on track with our park visits.

Our little rascal!

Emma loves the movie Little Rascals.

She watches it almost daily.

The other day I heard Emma singing "you are so beautiful to me" and then I found this...

I asked Emma what she was playing and she said "I am Darla and my Alien is Alfalfa and this is our row boat."

She was trying to recreate this scene from the movie.

And after every ballet class she walks out singing "dobie dobie do" and shakes her hips just like Spanky.

This little girl cracks us up!!!

Happy 35th Birthday Douggie!

Today my amazing husband turns 35!

We celebrated last night by going to North County Tavern and Bowl with some great friends.

We enjoyed some great food and some even more delicious beverages.

6 Weeks

Elle is 6 weeks!

Elle has grown so much in these past 6 weeks.

She is such a sweet little lady and is so easy going.

I love her dimples, her chubby cheeks and her tiny little hands.

I am getting pretty sad because I go back to work on Monday.

I am going back slowly and will only be working 2 days a week in the morning.

I am going to miss spending time with my girls, but I know they will be having fun with Papa and Abuelita.

Happy 32nd Birthday Marie

I can't believe that nine years ago today I met the woman who would forever change my life.

It's the reason that every year on this day, I feel like we have even more to celebrate.  I am so happy to have you in my life and I am forever grateful to the love you have given to me.  I am excited to know that our daughters have such an amazing woman to look up to as they grow up.

Farmer's Market

This afternoon we went to the farmer's market with Papa and Abuelita.

Emma had 3 things she wanted... fruit, flowers and popcorn. She made sure we got them all.

Notice there is no picture of the popcorn. Well that is because we are too busy eating the yummy kettle corn.

After we walked around the market, we went for some Gelato... delicious!

Just because

We have been enjoying our family time.

Little Elle is so much fun to play with.

Douggie, Emma and I just can't get enough of her.

Adam's 3rd Birthday

Today we went to Adam's 3rd Birthday party.

It was a super hero theme and it was so much fun!

Ron and Sarah threw an amazing party as usual with...

A photo area, yummy food, so many hand made touches, delicious cake pops and great friends.

 Each of the kids got a cape and a mask and they all looked adorable.

Thanks for inviting us, we had so much fun!

An evening at the beach

Saturday evening we headed to the beach for dinner with Papa and Abuelita.

Aunt, Uncle and JuJu also met up with us.

 We had lots of fun playing in the sand, "snorkeling," putting our feet in the water and catching sand crabs.

Emma was big on posing.

She was struting her stuff and posing all evening.

It was pretty cute but it also scares us a bit.

She is one sassy little thing!

Pool time

Saturday we set up the little pool in the backyard.

It was a warm day, so it was perfect to play in the pool.

 Emma played in the pool and had a great time.

Elle enjoyed the fresh air and shade and took a nap.

Park of the week #4

 This evening we headed to Sunset Park in San Marcos.

We were excited to have Papa and Abuelita join us.

We had been there last summer, but we were excited to go back.

 We had lots of fun playing and having a picnic.

After our picnic, we headed to the other side of the park to check out the second playground.

Pros:

-Has 2 big playgrounds, a spray ground, sports fields and a dog park.

-The main playground has great shade sails.

- Has stores fairly close. Papa had to run to the store because I forgot the bread for sandwiches... AGAIN!

Cons:

- Only a few tables by the playground.

-Was pretty crowded. Emma decided not to play in the spray ground because there were so many kids.

- Besides the shade over the playground, there isn't much shade.

We had a great time at the park, and a great time with Papa and Abuelita.

5 Weeks

Today Elle is 5 Weeks old!

And to celebrate she will share her smiles with you.

She smiled for the first time on Wednesday, but we caught it on camera for the first time this morning.

Her smiles are so sweet. Those dimples are perfect. We can't get enough of sweet Elle's little smile.

We love you little lady!

Chase and Taylyr

Monday afternoon we drove up to meet Chase, Taylyr and Stepheni.

The kids hadn't met Elle yet and they were pretty excited to see her.

Emma was excited to play with Chase. She was also excited to give him a kiss when we left. :)

Park of the week #3

We were a bit busy last week so we skipped our park of the week.

We made up for it this evening at Woodland Park in San Marcos.

We wanted to go to a park that was close to home and the 5 minute drive was perfect.

We invited some of the gang and we had a great time...

Pros:

-Close to home.

-Ducks to feed (Emma loves to feed ducks).

-Fun playground.

Cons:

-The darn ducks were not very hungry.

-The playground is really close to the parking lot so you always have to keep an eye on the kids. Not that we don't keep an eye on them already, but it is really important at this park.

-It is almost always busy.

Elle is 1 month!

 It is so hard to believe that our little lady is 1 month old today!

She has brought so much joy to our family and we all love her so much!

She has got some great chubby cheeks and I absolutely adore them.

Those cheeks get kissed non stop by her big sis.

Emma is constantly asking "please I kiss baby Elle?"

 She is growing like crazy and it is pretty fun to watch.

Although at times I do wish she would slow down a bit, because I know I will miss this newborn snuggle phase.

 She really is perfect in every way and she is the perfect addition to our family.

This past month has filled each of our lives with more love and joy and we are so thankful.
