Elle's 1st doctor appointment

This morning we went to Elle's very first appointment with Dr. McCormick.

A special thank you to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cherie for watching Emma while we were at the appointment.

Elle dropped in her weight just a little bit.

She was born at 7 lbs 5 oz and today she weighed 6 lbs 14 oz.

Dr. McCormick said that she wasn't concerned with her weight and that she looks really healthy!

She did give us a bit of unfortunate news. Elle tested positive for one of the newborn screenings they did at the hospital. We have to do some more testing before we know if she does in fact have the deficiency. After the appointment we went straight over to the lab so that they could collect her urine and blood.

Our poor little girl was such a trooper and did really well at the lab, but she did cry the entire way home. I don't blame her it was no fun for any of us.

We will keep our fingers crossed and say some prayers that Elle's results come back negative.
