Santa

We made an attempt to visit Santa at the mall a few weeks back.

Emma must have had some bad memories from last year...

because she wanted no part of him this year.

We tried hyping him up and talking about how nice he was, but no luck, just clinging, crying and "no Santa!"

She was a bit sleepy so Douggie drove around the mall and got her to sleep.

I figured we would do one of those cute pictures where the newborn is sleeping, and Santa is making the "shhh" face. Only we would have our toddler who was all dressed up.

Wouldn't you know it, as we placed her in his arms she woke up, looked at him and screamed.

It is safe to say we traumatized her.

Every time she saw a Santa she made a fake cry sound.

She has slowly gotten more comfortable with the thought of him, so we made a special stop at the Knob Hill house tonight for the debut of Santa.

She still didn't sit on his lap, or even be in the picture alone, but we got a non crying picture with Santa.
