Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

We had Emma’s 1 year photo shoot on Tuesday.
They were taken by an old high school classmate of mine Anjuli.
Her work is pretty amazing!

Here is a little update on our little gal…
- Back to sleeping 10 – 11 hours in a row. With an occasional wake up every few nights, but normally pretty good.

- Laughs when we say ‘no no’ and sometimes she even shakes her finger at us.

- Still a pro at blowing kisses and has now started giving real kisses. Those are my fav! She comes to you with her little mouth open.

- She loves to hug, and we love to hug her back.

- Says Dada like no other, but still says dada when we ask her to say mama, and laughs when she does it. Oh well, one of these days she will show me some love.

- Now can say Papa and even adds in her own little “Pa pa po” which makes it sound like papa Bob.

- Lights up every morning when we take her to my parent’s house. She loves to play with Abuelita Rose and Jacob during the day. I think she has a little crush on Jacob, they are pretty cute together.

- Has a serious ear fetish, not only does she play with her own, but she loves to play with ours when she snuggles. Her poor seahorse that she sleeps with will have no ears soon, from her playing with them every night.

- Is drinking cow’s milk and loves it.

- Facing forward in her car seat and loving it.

- Hates to sit still and loves to be on the go.

- Is such a good walker now, we have to be on the lookout all the time, because she just takes off.

- Such a good eater. She still loves her puffs and yogurt melts, but her new favorite is cheese. She eats almost everything that we do, and that makes dinner time so much more fun.

- She told me that her favorite time of day is bath time with dada. Doug loves it also. Emma splashes away and couldn’t be happier.

- Yo Gabba Gabba is still her favorite. She is mesmerized by it. Lucky for us we have lots on our dvr.

- Loves to play with her kitchen toys. She really loves her new pots and pans she got to open this morning.

- Is Corona’s bff! They play together so well, until Emma steps on her tail, then Corona gets pissed.

- Says oooooh and points to everything, but she really loves seeing birds fly by.

- Can’t get enough of Papa and Abuelita’s stairs, she loves to climb up and down them several times a day.

- Loves remote controls and cell phones.

She is the best thing that has ever happened to Doug and me! We love her so much and can hardly believe that she is a 1 year old!

We can’t wait to celebrate at her party on Saturday!
