Friday January 9th
Mommy knew that the oxygen hood would be coming off, so she went over for a visit at 3:15 in the morning. I couldn't wait to hold her until morning. Douggie went home to sleep in a real bed, because they don't make hospital chairs/beds that fit a guy his length. I wanted to make sure he got a good nights sleep.

Emma looks so cute, even with all of those wires and monitors. She had a little splint on her arm because of her IV, oxygen tubes in her nose, temperature sticky on her tummy, and heart rate and respiratory monitors also on her tummy.

Daddy's 1st time holding his little girl. Look at how proud he is!!! They make my heart melt! :)

Mommy had to take another turn holding her little girl. I just can't seem get enough of her.
Lots of exciting happenings this day:
- New x-ray continues to show improvement.
- No oxygen hood.
- Nasal oxygen removed, no oxygen at all!
- Was put in a "big girl bed" with no warmer.
- Mommy and daddy each got to feed her with what mommy was able to pump.
- Mommy was discharged, but don't worry we kept coming back for visits.
