Picking out our pumpkins.

Flashback to 2009: Picking out pumpkins at BNF.

This afternoon we headed out to Bates Nut Farm to pick out our pumpkins.

Of course we tried for a kiddo picture.
Jacob: Emma, stay here.
Emma: Ahhhhhhhhh!!!

We took about 50, and none of them were winners.

On the hunt for her very own pumpkin.

Found it! And she kept saying "Aa ee" (heavy).

You might wonder why everyone was waiting... well that would be because I still had to find my pumpkin. Let's just say I am super picky.

I gave up at one point until I spotted the perfect one in our wheelbarrow.
It was my mom's. She gave it to me and she picked out another one.
Man I love her!

Tried for another kiddo picture and this one worked out much better.

It rained/misted the entire time we were there, and I loved it.
It really felt like Fall.

Anyssa's Bowling Birthday Bash

Today we went to Anyssa's Bowling 7th Birthday Party.
She had a small family get together earlier this week, but today she celebrated with lots of friends. We stopped by for just a few minutes.

I made the cupcakes, and I had lots of fun with them.
I made the bowling pins out of fondant and the balls are Whoppers.

So excited for knocking those pins down.

Emma wanted to bowl sooooo bad.
Tía Crissy was nice enough to help her.
She had the cutest victory pose after they rolled the ball.
Arms in the air and yelled "YAY!"

Happy 7th Birthday Anyssa!

Last play and learn class

Today we went to our last play and learn class of the session.
We liked it so much, that we might sign up for the next session.

She was cracking us all up.
Not sure why she decided to walk with the ball between her legs, but she thought that it was so fun.

And the best part of class is the bubbles at the end.

Just call her slow at blocking.

Poor thing got a black eye today.
It was an accident. The little neighbor girl at my parent's house decided to swing around the musical keyboard, and bam... right into Emma's face.

So when I picked her up from Ahh's house I decided that the poor kiddo needed to be cheered up. So we took a trip to...
Chuck E Cheese

And then I decided she needed some McDonald's french fries.
This was a special treat!

And of course we had to make a stop at Toys R Us.
She kept saying "play" as we passed all of the fun toys.

And the cherry on top was that her Da yee (Daddy) came home tonight after being gone this week for work. That was what cheered her up the most.

After all of that cheering up, she is doing great!

St. Mary Fiesta

Yesterday afternoon we headed to the annual church fiesta.
We rode the big slide, saw some good friends, ate some yummy food and then ate some yummy treats.

Poor Emma wanted to ride the crazy spinny thing so bad.
Daddy had to tell her no and she cried so hard.

Nothing that a little hug from "Ahh" couldn't fix.
We call Abuelita "Ahh" around here. Emma can't say Abuelita correctly, but I love how she does say it.

What a great way to end the weekend!

This weekend's wedding.

My days of working for a company as an event planner have come to an end.
Actually they ended months ago, but I said I would follow through with this last wedding.

I left for many reasons, but primarily for my family and friends.
The strain of the extra work hours just seemed to be too much.

Back to the wedding... it was beautiful!
I didn't get a chance to take many pictures, but I did snap a few.

Doug was a faithful helper as always.
He walked around Teddy the mini pony.

Teddy had beers in his baskets.
We got this fun idea from Mark and Courtney's fabulous Texas wedding, except they had a mini donkey. We tried it with the ranch donkey, but turns out he didn't like it.

A super big THANK YOU to Mitch, Susan and Douggie for being the best helpers this weekend.
And a HUGE thank you to Abuelita Rose for watching Emma ALL weekend!

I would like to say I am sad that I am done planning events, but it is just the opposite. I am so excited to spend more time with my family, friends and especially Emma. And of course I can still plan insanely fun birthday parties for her to get my planning fix. :)

21 Months

Today Emma is 21 months!
She is such a kid now and I love it.

Her most impressive thing this past month has been her crazy vocabulary.
She can now say 116 different words. Yep that is right... I am crazy like that and we have been taking notes of all of her words.

Today she said PRETTY.
And here is why...

Mama brought Emma a little surprise.
She caught a little glimpse of it.

Immediately wanted her shoes and socks off.

So Mama helped.

Look at how fancy Emma is in her new shoes!

The little girl is in LOVE!

Seriously in LOVE.

She walked around the house in her fancy new shoes all evening.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Toledo

This past Saturday we attended the Wedding of Bryan & Emily.

It was a beautiful ceremony performed by Father Rich.

I have known the Goncalves Family for nearly 24 years now, and it is nuts to think that "little Emily" is all grown up and married.

Abuelita and Papa came to the wedding as well.

Emma and Jillian were such silly little girls and loved playing under the belly bars.

We found out Emma loves to dance on dance floors...
and she always loves her ketchup!

We loved having Kristyn, Jason and Jillian there to hang out with.

And of course Melissa (Maggie) was a hoot to hang out with as always.

Abuelita and Papa were so nice and they took little Emma home so that Douggie and I could stay a little later.

What better way to end a night, then to go to In N Out for a little 4th meal.

It was a perfect wedding that came out beautifully.
Exactly what Bryan and Emily deserved!

Mr. & Mrs. Toledo

Yesterday we attended a fabulous wedding for these two beautiful people!

I will share more soon. Right now I am still so tired, it must have been the midnight In N Out run after the wedding. Or possibly the bar we hit up before In N Out??? :)

Congratulations E & B!
