Spring Cornhole Tournament

Yesterday our family held the Spring Cornhole Tournament and BBQ at Connie and Richard's.

Richard bbq'd some hot dogs and hamburgers and Douggie woke up bright and early to smoke some ribs.

 Dave took it serious and striped the field and painted a logo.

 There was a bit of controversy, Sarah and Victoria traded in their partners and decided to team up themselves. Their trade paid off and they beat their old team mates Nate and Paul.

And they beat Cris and Dave in the finals and won the entire tournament.

 Congratulations Victoria and Sarah!

 We also celebrated our very own teacher of the year!

Thanks to everyone for such a good time!

We can't wait until the Cornhole & Camping Tournament this summer.

My sister!

She is the sweetest sister in the world.

She is one of the most caring people ever.

She is always looking out for others.

She is always there when you need her.

She is such an amazing aunt to our little girls.

and if that weren't enough...

She is also teacher of the year!!!

She would never share the news herself, so I decided to share it with you all.

We are so proud of her!

Little Elle is 45 weeks!

This little lady is so close to taking some steps.

Last night she took one step on her own, and since then she has had no interest in taking anymore.

Part of me is so excited that she is so close to walking and the other part of me is so sad that she is growing up too fast.

We love our little Elle to pieces!

Yesterday evening we met up with Jillian, Rachel and their moms.

We had intentions of having a fun picnic at the park, but it was so chilly we left the park and had dinner at Oscar's instead.

These girls are so darn cute...

We had so much fun playing and chatting... we really need to do this more often.

Our Friday

It is now Monday and I am just getting to blogging about our Friday... just a little bit behind around here.

Friday was a fun day and I would still like to share some pictures from our day spent with friends.

We started out at the Safari Park with Harper, Drew and their mom Korissa.

We had so much fun!

Emma and Harper are so sweet and played so well together.

 Elle was not a fan of the big lion.

 Our sweet little 44 week girl.

 Right in front of the lion enclosure we saw this mama duck and all of her sweet little ducklings.

It was so fun to watch them.

Emma said that we should take one home and keep it in our pond.

After the Safari Park, we went to visit Allyson and baby Rayna at her parent's home.

Rayna is so sweet and it was so fun to hold her and listen to her sweet coos.

It was also so much fun to see how crazy in love her grandparents are! She is one loved little girl!

We had so much fun, Emma and I went back for another visit with Rayna on Sunday afternoon.

Today Emma was having fun playing on pbskids.org.

She loves to play computer games and gets really into them.

Well today she got so into the game that she had to stop and take a little nap...

 I found her like this and we couldn't stop laughing.

After her little snooze, she had a little dinner date with Chase.

We all had dinner together, but these two had their own special time together.

When we got to the car our conversation the entire ride home went a little like this...

Emma - We should have a play date with Chase again soon. And then we can have a wedding because I am going to marry Chase.

Daddy - But I thought you were going to marry Xyler?!

Emma - Oh no daddy, now I am going to marry Chase. Xyler can come to the wedding and so can Carolina and Grace. Maybe we should get married tomorrow?! And Chase can give me a ring.

Mama - That is really soon Emma, maybe we should give Chase some time to save for your ring.

Emma - It's ok, I already have a ring in my jewelry box. We can have the wedding at our house and maybe Taylyr can be the flower girl and hand me my beautiful flowers. I will be beautiful!

Yes sweetheart, you will be beautiful, but can we wait a few years until your wedding?

I need some time to do some planning.

First comes a wedding, then comes Pre-K... what's next?

A beautiful evening in the backyard.

We spent all evening outside today and it was perfect.

Douggie smoked some chickens on his smoker and they were delicious!

We played in the swing, ate dinner outside and just enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Little Elle is 43 weeks today!

 I love these two!

Then Emma decided that it was starting to get chilly and so the fun was over and we headed inside.

Our last desert trip of the season.

We just spent a fabulous weekend out at the desert.

 We celebrated Wendy and Brigitte's Birthdays with some Peterson Doughnuts... yummy!

 It was pretty warm this weekend, so we brought a kiddie pool for the little ladies.

They had so much fun!

Sweet Elle is now 42 weeks!

 It was a bit too windy last night, so Emma and Wendy decided to let their lantern go this morning instead.

Emma made sure to make a wish!
