An early gift for Douggie

Yesterday afternoon we went and picked up an early Father's Day gift for Douggie.

I do realize that it is 3 weeks away, and yes he did go shopping with us.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am terrible with surprises.

Anyone who knows Doug, knows that he didn't want the BBQ assembled, he wanted to do it himself.

Emma was so supportive and kept giving Daddy hugs.

The work continues

Saturday Douggie and Omar were hard at work again on the cabinets.

They finished stripping the cabinets, sanded them and got them all clean and ready for staining.

We didn't stain the entire kitchen yet, but we did a test cabinet to get a sneak peak.

After 2 coats of stain, it looks great!

Thank you Omar and Douggie for all of your hard work.

The working team

Omar and Douggie are the newest members of the working team.

And they might just be my new favorites.

You may wonder what the working team is... well it was a childhood thing where along with my cousins we would sing, clean and "work". Sounds like fun right?!

Well I think secretly Omar and Douggie were always a little bit jealous that they weren't a part of our working team that they heard stories from.

So I texted Richard, our team leader and got permission to add a couple of new members.

Before

Omar built us new doors. Yep that is right, he built them by hand from scratch. He is pretty talented. I am so excited to see them. Douggie says they look amazing!

Yesterday Douggie helped Omar strip the old cabinets.

They made great progress and are continuing with it today.

The Flower Fields

We love the flower fields.

We go visit them every year.

The year we went a little bit too late in the season. Most of the flowers were gone. We actually made it just in time because they close today.

A big night around here!!!

We have slowly been working on going pee pee on the potty... very slowly.

We haven't done potty training hard core yet because someone decided that poo poo is no fun on the toilet, that is until tonight...

Tonight Emma went poo poo on the big potty and I couldn't be more proud!

I love this picture of her. She was so proud and yelling "poo poo" as I took the picture.

Still not sure if we are ready for hard core potty training, but this was a big step!

Our weekend

We had a fun relaxing time this past weekend.

Friday night Douggie BBQ'd up some delicious steaks.

Abuelita and Papa came over to join us.

And then for dessert we enjoyed strawberry shortcake.

Emma is now a huge fan of whipped cream.

Saturday we headed over to my cousin's house to watch the UFC fight.

Emma had a ball playing with all of her cousins.

Then on Sunday after church we headed over to Abigail's 1st Birthday party.

It was a fun farm theme, so all of the kids had a chicken egg hunt.

Emma loved playing on the playground.

Of course Abigail was a big fan on the cake.

After she would take a bite the clapped her hands together. She is so cute!
