Emma and Abuelita are so fancy.

Emma and Abuelita got pampered this afternoon.
They went to visit Natalie (Paul's girlfriend) at the nail salon.
She gave them wonderful pedicures and they had a great time.
Thank you for a fun afternoon Natalie!

Emma's first week of Kindergarten!

Emma started Kindergarten on Tuesday!
She is having such a fun time.

On Monday we went to her meet the teacher day.
Mrs. S is so nice and Emma really likes her.

Emma picked out her outfit for the first day of school.
She had lots of fun shopping with me.
Emma was a lucky girl and she got to be the line leader.
We all went to drop Emma off on her first day.
Elle cried and so did I.
I was able to hold it together until I got to the car, but then I lost it.

Emma said "I have to take a picture because it is my second day of school."
Everyday is a special day!

On her third day she said "Mama, you have to take a picture of me because I look like a cowgirl in these pants."

Today it was my idea to take a picture because Elle was so excited to take sissy to school.

I am so proud of Emma and so excited for all of the fun things she will learn in Kindergarten!

Ladies night out

Sunday night I went out with Ashley, Wendy and Brigitte for a fun ladies night.
We had a gourmet picnic in the parking lot and then saw Gloriana, Sheryl Crow and Rascal Flatts.
We had such a fun time!

Something old

Emma found this dress in her closet.
GG Margaret and GG Bob gave it to me when I was a little girl.
The other day Emma said that it was her very favorite dress and that she had to wear it shopping.
Something about her in my old dress is pretty sweet.

It is also pretty sweet that Elle said "too" (me too) and joined Emma in the picture.
These two are pretty darn cute!

Elle is becoming a regular in timeout.

Last week Elle started a trend of being in time out more often than ever before.
On this particular occasion it was because of this...
She drew on Emma's sheets with a pen.
Emma had put the pen in a "safe" place and Elle found it while I was busy in the kitchen.

The very next morning she was in time out before 7:30 am.
It is a good thing she is cute!

Emma's haircut

Emma has been wanting a haircut for months.
We told her that she could get it cut before she started school and she was so excited.
She felt so fancy going to my hair lady (Tera).
Tera did a great job and Emma looks adorable with her new haircut!

Andrew's 5th Birthday Party

Last week we celebrated Andrew's 5th Birthday!
He had a super fun party at Chuck E Cheese.
The kids played their little hearts out and were exhausted from all of the fun.

Happy 5th Birthday Andrew!

Peter

I have worked with Peter for 17 years.
He has been an amazing boss.
He has always believed in me and taught me to believe in myself.
He is pretty darn amazing.

He now works at City Hall and I miss him terribly at the center.

Peter is famous for his sayings, so we took note of our favorites.

Peter's very first day at the center October 1997 and his last day at the center August 2014.
Even though I miss him so much in the office, I know that he will continue to be a part of  my life.
Emma is already talking about how she needs to go visit him at his new office.

Another Friday at the bay

Friday August 1st
We spent the day at the bay with cousins and friends and had so much fun!
Some of us were lucky enough to hang out all day and the rest of the group joined us after work.

We had a fun surprise and found out that Rachel, Heather and Landon were also at the bay. They came and joined us and the kids had so much fun together.

We stayed late and had a bbq and a bonfire.

These three ladies were exhausted and passed out right away on our way home.
