Happy 40th Rob!

Saturday night we celebrated my cousin Robert's 40th Birthday!
We started out with pizza, champagne and cake at Connie and Richard's house.
Liz made cute little cutouts to put on the cake.
They were all funny Rob jokes like...
-a picture of a frozen turkey for the time when one fell on him at work and broke his arm
- a lobster for the time when he got pinched by one in the tank at work
-a green members only jacket just like the one he wore all the time when we were little
It was so fun to share some good laughs!

Liz wrote a really cute and hilarious letter to Rob.

After all of the fun at the house, we headed to Stampede on a limo bus.

We all had so much fun and we were so happy to celebrate with Rob!

Thanks to Papa and Abuelita for watching our kiddos!

Lunch at Phil's

Saturday we went to lunch at Phil's.
It was delicious as always.

 Emma was hilarious!
She tried some of Doug's tri trip sandwich and loved it.
She said "this is so good I could eat a cow."
Not sure where she heard that, but she was so funny!

Elle discovered that she loves ketchup!
A word of advice... don't share ketchup with her.
She dips her fry, licks all of the ketchup off and then dips and licks it over and over again.

20 months

This weekend Elle turned 20 months old!

While we were at the desert we realized that she is at a perfect age right now
She had so much fun exploring and playing with the other kids and the dogs.
She dug in the sand and played in the pool for hours.

She is talking more each day.
Her expressions are so cute and her personality is so cute.

Elle is so much fun.
She loves her big sis so much and gets so happy when Emma gets home from school.

We are so lucky to have her in our family!
We love our little Elle to pieces!

Our weekend at the desert.

We spent this past weekend out at the desert.
We arrived Friday afternoon. It was pretty warm, so we set up the pool right away.

Jackson joined the ladies in the pool to cool off.

Saturday morning Elle watched Calliou.

 More pool time.

Emma went with Wendy to the Blu-In for an ice cream run.

Since it was Valentine's Day weekend, the kids decorated the table for dinner.

We made a delicious sea food boil in the can cookers.

After dinner the kids set off sky lanterns.

Peach Cobbler and Brownies in the dutch ovens... yum!

Emma had mini doughnuts every morning for breakfast and was in heaven.

This was Elle's first trip that she was able to join Wendy and Emma on their rock hunts.
She had a great time.

It was such a fun weekend with such great friends!

Emma's 5 year check up

Last week Emma had her 5 year check up.

Her stats are...
Height - 3 ft 8.5 in - 83rd percentile
Weight - 40 pounds - 50th percentile

Dr. McCormick says that Emma is in perfect health.

She passed the hearing and vision tests with flying colors.
She did have to have 3 shots and a finger prick. She hated those.
Now she is all set to register for kindergarten!
