 Yesterday was my sister's Birthday!
This evening we celebrated with some cupcakes that Jacob and Emma made.

Elle thought they were delicious!

Happy Birthday Ebit!
You are the best and we are so lucky to have you as our sister, aunt and sister in law.
We love you lots!

Elle's appointment with her specialist

Today Elle had and appointment with her specialist at Children's Hospital.
She was such a good girl and so well behaved.

Her doctor continues to think that Elle is doing really well.
He said that he still believes that her mutation of MCAD is very mild.
He says that he has been doing some research on her mutation and there are few cases where people have had reactions. He still feels that we need to be very careful with Elle when it comes to fevers, but other than that he says she is great.

Elle had some blood work done to test her levels.
If they are normal that means no more medicine for Ellie! Fingers crossed!!!
She was so good during her blood draw. She fussed a tiny bit but she was a champ.

We are so proud of sweet Elle and we were so happy to hear that her specialist thinks she is doing so well.
He also said she was the cutest patient of the day! :)

A weekend in Austin

This weekend I went to Austin for my good friend Maria's Bachelorette Party.
I was so excited that Ebit was able to come as well!!!

Ebit and I flew in Friday, just in time for the crazy downpour in the afternoon. It was nuts!

After dinner we went to Clive on Rainey Street and had a great time.
Rainey St. is full of old houses that have been made in to cute bars.

Maria - the Bachelorette, Fabrizzia and Marina

Saturday morning we went for a yummy brunch and then headed to the spa.

Saturday night we had a delicious dinner and then headed out to a few bars.

At one of the bars there was a really fun band playing.
Maria even joined them up on stage and sang with them. It was hilarious!

I had such a great time with such a great group of girls.
This makes me so excited for the wedding in New Orleans in November!

Thank you to Ebit for being a great travel buddy.
It was a fun sister trip. Since I have chosen the trip two years in a row, I promise you get to chose the trip next year.

Thank you to Douggie for being Mr. Dad all weekend. Emma said he even did a great job doing her hair for ballet.

15 Months

I am a few days late, but Elle is 15 months now!

She is a dream. Every single thing about her is a dream.
She now says more words like:
bird
bye
hi
more
up
bubble
poo poo
book
uh oh
agua
She also shakes her little head saying no, which is adorable.

Today I had a dentist appointment and Elle tagged along.
It wasn't a real dentist appointment for her, but we did have her little teeth looked at.
She has a pretty serious gap between her two front teeth. It is so cute and it runs in the family, but we thought we should have it looked at. Dr. Campbell said that down the road we will have to have some work done to fix the muscle between her two front teeth. No rush on that procedure, we are just enjoying her sweet little smile, gap and all.
Don't let her little face fool you, she was a great little patient for Dr. Campbell.
She was laughing and having a great time.

Elle continues to be an independent girl. She has her own opinion and is not afraid to let you know when she doesn't agree with you.
She loves her big sis and loves to give her hugs all the time.
Elle has started dancing and it is so precious.
She tries to jump and it is so cute because her feet don't actually leave the ground.
Her curls are perfection.

Every single thing about her is a dream and we are so blessed to have this little lady in our family!

So hard to believe how fast she is growing.
We love our little Elle to pieces!

Congratulations Paul!

This afternoon Doug and I attended the retirement party of Reverend Doctor Paul Black.
This wasn't just any old retirement party, this was a huge celebration.
It was full of people who shared stories of what a loving, caring and wonderful man Paul is.
Paul is retiring after 40 years of being a Pastor and he spent his last 23 years at the same church.

Paul and his sweet wife Gail are the parents of one of my dearest friends Allyson.

Paul and Gail's daughter in law Nikki shared her beautiful voice and sang a song for everyone.

The church gave him his very own popcorn machine. He loves popcorn.

Cagdas, baby Rayna and my sweet friend Allyson.

It was so wonderful to spend the afternoon celebrating Paul!
We wish all the best for a very happy retirement!

Emma's 1st day of Ballet class

Emma started Ballet class this morning.
She has taken Ballet before and she is so excited to be taking it again.

Anything sissy does...

Elle wants to do too!

Elle is all about anything that Emma is doing.

If Emma goes in the cozy coupe, Elle wants to join her.

Even when Emma is in timeout, Elle wants to be right there with her.

Emma's 1st day of school!

Today was Emma's first day back at school.
It is so hard to believe that this is her very last year of preschool.
She was so excited for school today. She woke up at 5:15 this morning to go potty. While she was sitting on the toilet, still sleepy and with her eyes closed, she said "Mama, I am so excited for school today!"

 Let the poses begin.
It is very rare to get a picture of Emma without her posing.

She requested that we all take her to school and that Ellie had two little piggies in her hair.
Elle was a little sad that she couldn't stay and play with Emma. She seemed to really enjoy the classroom.
