Our afternoon

We were able to squeeze in a little time in the back yard this afternoon.
We all had so much fun playing together.

And to top it off, Douggie smoked some ribs... Yummy!

No No Elle!

Elle is normally such a sweet mellow little lady.
Every now and then she gets really upset if you take something away from her.
Normally she just screams to let you know she is mad, but the other day she bit Emma...
then she sat on the "Time Out Rug" for the very first time.

Just so you know, time out was Emma's idea.
She sat there for 11 seconds.
It isn't very easy to put an 11 month old in time out.

Congratulations on 39 years of love and happiness!

I know they would never have chosen to spend their anniversary with my dad in the hospital, but we are all so thankful he is doing better.
He continues to improve every day and we hope that he gets to come home soon.

49

Elle is 49 weeks now.

We love her to pieces!

And a little bonus one of Emma because she is pretty darn cute just like her little sissy.

A BBQ with family.

This week we had GG Bob, GG Margaret and Aunt Suzie over for a BBQ.

It is always a challenge to get a group picture of these 3 little ones.

Thanks  for a fun evening!

11 Months!

Elle turned 11 months this week.
It was hard to get her to stand still for a picture. She wanted to walk to me instead.
She has been taking more steps and is now up to 7 steps at a time.

We are so proud of our little Elle!

Silly girls!

Happy 11 months Elle!
We love you to pieces!

Happy Mother's Day!

This afternoon we spent Mother's Day with my mom's family at my Uncle Ruben and Aunt Kelleen's home.
It was a hot day, so playing in the pool was a perfect way to cool down.
Amgen was in town, and just beyond those trees all of the bikes passed by.
Some of the group went out to the road to watch and the rest of us just watched them through the trees.

This was Elle's first time in a real pool and she had so much fun.

My day was perfect. I spent it with family, my mom, my wonderful husband and my two beautiful girls!

Happy Mother's Day!

Our Mother's Day Trip

Friday evening we headed up to Anaheim for a special Mother's Day Trip.
It was my mom, Ebit, Caubbie, Cris, Anyssa and me.
It was so much fun to spend time with everyone, especially with my mom.
We hardly ever spend time together without Emma and Elle, so this was some nice mother-daughter time for us.
Part of me did feel a little guilty for not bringing them, but it made it easier to focus on my mom.

After checking in to our hotel we headed to Downtown Disney for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.

We walked around and did some shopping and then headed back to the hotel.
We had so much fun and Caubbie even started a pillow fight.
She was a hoot! It might have been because she finished off the rest of the Sangria and got pretty giddy.

In the morning we headed straight to California Adventure.
We waited in line and got our Fast Passes for the Radiator Springs Racers.
Then we headed to the Tower of Terror.

I know this isn't a great picture, but notice my mom hogging the hand rail...
she was pretty funny and a bit scared she was going to fall out.

We decided to hide from Rose while she was in the bathroom.
Caubbie was the lookout.

Poor Rose. Not sure why we always pull pranks when we get together, but it always makes for a good time.

Then off to Cars Land.

The Radiator Springs Racers were so much fun!

After lunch we went over to Disneyland.

THen after riding lots of rides we went back to California Adventure for the World of Color show.
My pictures didn't do it justice, so thank you Disneyland website for this one.
It was so beautiful!

Walking to the exit Cris broke her flip flop.
Normally we would have felt sorry for her, but instead we all said "I told you that you shouldn't have worn flip flops." We all reminded her before we left the hotel in the morning that flip flops might not be a good idea.

Oh well... a quick stop at the gift shop for a pair of Disney flip flops and problem solved.

We had SO MUCH FUN!
I am so glad that we all took the time out of our busy schedules to spend some time together with our moms.
