Emma's 1st trip to the dentist

This morning, Douggie and I took Emma to visit Dr. Campbell for the very first time.

 She was a dream!

She was such a big girl and we are so proud of her.

 He counted all of her baby teeth.

 Cleaned/polished them.

 Flossed

And even put on fluoride.

Douggie and I can't get over how well she did.

She even stood up from the chair and asked us "when we going to come again?"

Prentice Park- Santa Ana Zoo

This afternoon we took a little drive with Aunt Lizzy, JuJu, Papa and Abuelita up to Santa Ana.

We met up with Kevin, Val, Lauren and Ben at Prentice Park - Santa Ana Zoo.

Some of you may know that I am a former Prentice and yes, there is a relation between us and this Prentice Park. It was a great great relative of some sort of my dad. He willed the land to the city for the zoo as long as there were always monkeys, 50 to be exact. I guess the guy really liked monkeys.

It was a fun place for all of us to meet up for a visit.

We had a picnic lunch and then headed in to the zoo.

 Lauren, Emma, JuJu and Benny

 They do have more animals than just monkeys.

 But the monkeys are by far the highlight.

It is probably one of the smallest zoos around, but it was a great place to hang out with family.

They have a great playground and the kids enjoyed playing together.

Emma got really sad when the Kok family had to leave. She cried on the way to the car and then cried again when she woke up from her nap at home. She is going to really miss Kevin, Val, Lauren and Benny!

Palm Springs

We took a little trip to Palm Springs this week.

We got there Thursday night and came home this morning.

It was a quick trip, but it was worth it. We went to meet up with Kevin, Val, Lauren and Ben who were in town from Seattle for the week. 

 We stayed at a really fun resort.

 Thursday evening we headed over to Kevin's parent's (Oma and Opa) condo for dinner.

The kids played and had a great time and Val made a fabulous dinner.

Then Lauren and Emma took a dip in the hot tub.

 Friday morning we hung around our place and played around.

 Then everyone came over for a swim.

The kids had a great time on the little slide.

 

 And the adults had fun on the big slide.

There goes Douggie!

We hung out at the pool all day and  then cleaned up, a few took their naps and then we headed downtown for dinner.

 Poor Benny took his nap at the table.

He is such a cute little guy!

After dinner we took a little walk around down town.

We had such a great visit with everyone.

Our sweet baby girl

Here I am last week at 22 weeks.
This week I am 23 weeks and doing well.

I had my follow up ultra sound for our baby girl's heart.
He couldn't see enough of it at our 20 week appointment so I went back this morning.
Turns out she was in the same position as before and made it difficult to get a good view.
After lots of moving around from one side to the other he was able to get a good look.

Everything looks great with her little heart!!!
Such great news. Our little girl is growing so well and pretty darn fast if you ask me.

Doug and I officially decided on her name and we love it!
It is so sweet and so feminine and it also sounds really cute with Emma.

In June we will be welcoming...

Weekend re-cap

Saturday morning we went to Emma's soccer game.

She loves to play soccer.

She still has no clue on how to really play the sport, but she is great at running up and down the field.

 Then JuJu came over in the afternoon and we had a sleepover.

We all played outside while Douggie washed the car.

 Then we came inside to play Barbies.

JuJu was not happy that I got a picture of him playing with them.

He quickly stopped after the picture.

Love these two kiddos first thing in the morning!

Emma's 3 year pictures

Last week we had Anjuli take Emma's 3 year pictures at Jack's Pond Park in San Marcos.

We had to wait until February because Anjuli was on maternity leave with her sweet little baby girl Noelle.

It was well worth the wait! As always Anjuli did an amazing job and we love them.

Those pink boots are by far Emma's favorite shoes right now.

She got them for her Birthday and they are still too big, but this little girl would wear them everyday if she could. They were a must in Emma's eyes for her pictures.

Love them all... absolutely love them!
