Happy Halloween!!!

Emma dressed up as Foofa.

Some of you may be wondering who the heck Foofa is...

well this is her.
She is a character on Emma's favorite TV show Yo Gabba Gabba.

I decided to "make" her costume, and she looked adorable.
She couldn't stop playing with her stuffed belly the entire night.

We had a pizza party.

A little play time.

Rachel the Ladybug, David Andrew as Batman, Anyssa as Princess Tiana, JuJu as Mario and Emma.

Our 1st house of the night.

To the Batmobile!

Emma had a blast.
So did we!

On a side note...
We drove home from AZ just in time to go Trick or Treating.
We were there to celebrate my Grandma's 80th Birthday.
I can't wait to share those pictures, and I will soon.

Chase & Mya's 3rd Birthday Party

Yesterday afternoon we headed up to the 3rd Birthday party for Mya and Chase.
Mya and her family happened to be in town from AZ.
And these two cousins are only a few weeks apart. It was so fun for them to get to celebrate their birthdays together.

Chase wasn't very patient in waiting for the cupcakes, he decided to help himself to a little lick.

Finally, it was all his!

Safe to say that Emma enjoyed her cupcake as well!

Families on Foot

Yesterday my department sponsored Families on Foot.
It was a 1 or 2 mile run/walk through Kit Carson Park.

Emma walked the course with Douggie and Ah.

This was the first year for the event. Looking forward to next year's.

Yum!

Today North County (San Marcos) was blessed with the opening of Phil's BBQ.
We have had to travel to the Sports Arena location previously, but not anymore!

Yummy Ribless dinner, all of the taste without the bones.

Emma was a HUGE fan of the beans.

Can you tell by her messy face?

I told Doug that we HAD to go on opening day, so we made it an early dinner.
It wasn't that crowded yet, but I am sure it will be later tonight.

In case you are wondering where they are... they are in the old J. Carinos building in the Lowes/In N Out shopping center.

Picking out our pumpkins.

Flashback to 2009: Picking out pumpkins at BNF.

This afternoon we headed out to Bates Nut Farm to pick out our pumpkins.

Of course we tried for a kiddo picture.
Jacob: Emma, stay here.
Emma: Ahhhhhhhhh!!!

We took about 50, and none of them were winners.

On the hunt for her very own pumpkin.

Found it! And she kept saying "Aa ee" (heavy).

You might wonder why everyone was waiting... well that would be because I still had to find my pumpkin. Let's just say I am super picky.

I gave up at one point until I spotted the perfect one in our wheelbarrow.
It was my mom's. She gave it to me and she picked out another one.
Man I love her!

Tried for another kiddo picture and this one worked out much better.

It rained/misted the entire time we were there, and I loved it.
It really felt like Fall.

Anyssa's Bowling Birthday Bash

Today we went to Anyssa's Bowling 7th Birthday Party.
She had a small family get together earlier this week, but today she celebrated with lots of friends. We stopped by for just a few minutes.

I made the cupcakes, and I had lots of fun with them.
I made the bowling pins out of fondant and the balls are Whoppers.

So excited for knocking those pins down.

Emma wanted to bowl sooooo bad.
Tía Crissy was nice enough to help her.
She had the cutest victory pose after they rolled the ball.
Arms in the air and yelled "YAY!"

Happy 7th Birthday Anyssa!

Last play and learn class

Today we went to our last play and learn class of the session.
We liked it so much, that we might sign up for the next session.

She was cracking us all up.
Not sure why she decided to walk with the ball between her legs, but she thought that it was so fun.

And the best part of class is the bubbles at the end.
