Dinner with friends

Saturday evening we headed to the Cenderelli home for dinner with the Newell and Krstovski families.
We decided that we don't see each other often enough, so we want to try and do dinner at each other's houses. Kristin, Andrea and Juliana hosted first.

Emma felt like such a big girl playing with Isabella and Juliana.

Isabella, Juliana, Emma and Chase

The yummy feast! Everyone pitched in and made a dish, it was all so good.

The table spread.

All of the friends!

We had a great time with everyone. We can't wait for our next get together.

Lunch with the Frazier Family

Saturday afternoon we headed down to Liberty Station to meet up with the Frazier's for lunch.
Doug and Mark went to college together and Mark's daughter is only a month older than Emma.

We had plans of eating outside and enjoying the weather, but wouldn't you know it, it happened to rain. With a slight change of plans we ate lunch inside and then the weather cleared up enough to get a little play time in after.

The dads, notice that they were sporting their coug colors for the Apple Cup game.
They were so disappointed that we couldn't catch the game on t.v.

Mama, Emma, Audrey and Courtney

These two were so fun together.

Look at those two silly monkeys.

So Thankful!!!

This year there is so much to be thankful for! We have been graced with good health and family and friends that are so special to us.

Most importantly I am thankful for this little turkey!!!
Emma celebrated her 1st Thanksgiving this year, and it was pretty wonderful.

We had all of my mom's family get together at my cousin Richard's house.
It was an amazing spread with so many old favorites and a couple of fun new recipes.

Emma showed off her walking skills, and her cute tights and dress.
I saw this dress last year while I was still preggo and I knew that Emma had to have it for her 1st Thanksgiving. I think I made a good choice, she looked pretty edible!

She looked adorable in her tights. They have a little bear on her bottom, so cute!

After dinner we played Scene it, the movie edition. We all had such a great time.

Douggie was in charge of keeping the crowd in order, he was the the official rule enforcer. Lucky for me he was on my team.

We nick named the winning team the "Dream Team," they pulled out answers that I had never even heard of, crazy good.

We all had so much fun! We even ignored Emma's bed time and stayed until 9 pm, a whole hour and a half past her bed time. She was a champ and was so well behaved, then crashed hard when we got home.

My cousin Richard said the blessing and I loved it! We all had a chance to go around and name what we were thankful for. Everyone had the same answer with slight variations, we were all thankful for family. What a great family we have and we were so lucky to spend our holiday with everyone.

We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

It will be one that Emma may not remember, but I will never forget how special her very 1st Thanksgiving was!

46 Weeks

Today we celebrated Emma's 46 week Birthday by going out to breakfast.

But not just any old breakfast, our annual Day Before Thanksgiving Breakfast at this place
The yummy Golden Egg Omelet House.
We have been going there with family on the day before Thanksgiving for at least the last 10 years or so, and I love this tradition. I love that now Emma has become a part of this tradition.

Ebit holding Baby David, and Papa Bob.

Crissy and Jacob.

Emma pinching Jacob's cheeks and Dada.

and Abuelita Rose and Mama.

We had a wonderful breakfast, and are so Thankful for all of those who were able to make it.

What a great way to celebrate 46 weeks!!!

If this doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit...

well then I am not sure what will.

We found out Emma doesn't mind strangers, just as long as they are NOT Santa!

I will be honest, Mama is a tad disappointed. I was hoping for a smiley faced kiddo on the lap of the man in red, but nope. I was also hoping for Santa not to scrunch up her pretty dress for the picture, but we got scrunched.

Oh well, her terrified / crying look is pretty darn cute!
Maybe next year we will get the smiley faced kiddo?!

Happy 1st Birthday Jillian!

Sunday afternoon we went to Jillian's 1st Birthday Party.
It was at her Grandparent's house and it was a perfect party for a perfectly sweet Jillian!
The theme was "Our little monkey is 1," and there were hanging monkeys everywhere, so cute.

Emma LOVED playing with the girls!
It is so fun to watch them, because they are all so close in age.
Emma - January 7th
Jillian - November 17th
Ava - December 30th

Sweet little Ava!
I don't think I have ever meet a more well behaved little girl.

Poor Jillian was looking at Emma and she was a bit confused.

I wonder why Jillian was confused with Emma?! She had a look of "what trouble can I get into" clearly written all over her face.
Emma was on the go constantly. She was quite loud and expressed just how much she loved playing with the girls.

After all of the playing, she needed a little break. This party stuff is exhausting!

Mmmm, I think I like this...

yup, I sure do!!!

To go with the Monkey theme, Sarah (Jillian's Auntie) made this amazing cake.
Not only was it adorable, but it was so yummy!
It was carrot cake with colored cream cheese frosting.

As if the cake weren't creative enough, Sarah also made these monkey cupcakes.

Kristyn helping her little Jilly bean open some gifts.

They had this cute photo op cut-out, as you can tell we weren't very successful getting a shot of Emma. She kept trying to eat it instead of looking at the camera.

I am so sad that we didn't get a picture of Ethan and Emma. Ethan is Jillian's cousin, and they will be married someday, I just know it. Too bad they aren't too fond of each other yet. Ethan is bored by Emma since she is a year younger than him, I don't blame him. But one of these days, they will be such a cute little couple! ;)

Jillian, we had a fabulous time at your party!
We can't wait to see you again for another play date, make sure to invite your friend Ava, we had a great time with her as well!

New Hairstyle

Emma's really been into feeding herself lately. Even if she eats something from her spoon, she'll grab whatever it is out of her mouth, just to put it back in.

This doesn't go over too well when she's tired are starts rubbing her eyes and puts her hands in her hair. Check out the cool spike she has.

Our Girl is Walking!

Well, we knew it would be happening soon, and we finally have some proof.

You can see me bribing my daughter with some Puffs to get her to walk and she did quite well. She is getting far more confident and doesn't always feel that she needs to hold on to something as she walks. We are so proud of her! Let the baby proofing begin.

45 Weeks!!!

One of Dada's favorite games to play with Emma is sticking out your tongue.
He caught a little clip of it tonight, pretty cute!

Kiddo, we love you so much!
Happy 45 weeks!

All good things must come to an end.

We said goodbye to Ryan, Megan and Hadley Monday morning. Before they left, we had a little get together with family on Sunday afternoon.

3 Prentice Families + 1 Covarrubias Family + 1 Stephens Family = A great dinner together

It was so nice to have Uncle Ron, Aunt Tracy, Claire and Hayley drive down to join us all!

Ryan and Megan were even nice enough to make dinner for us all.

Jacob, Hayley and Claire playing some games.

Hayley, Uncle Ron, Aunt Tracy, Hadley and Emma.

Claire and Emma

Two crazy gals!
Hadley decided she wanted to play in Emma's saucer, she still fits.

We were so sad to see R, M & H leave, but we loved every minute of their visit here.

Thank you so much for making time to come and see us!

Slumber party with Hadley

Today while Ryan and Megan are at a wedding, Hadley spent the day with us.

She took her nap here this afternoon and woke up just in time to head to our soccer game with us. The original plan was to have Abuelita Rose stay with the girls here at the house while they napped. Both girls ended up waking up early, so we figured the whole gang would go to the game.

Hadley loved Emma's stroller.
Every time she heard a whistle she asked, "is it over?"
Apparently our game wasn't exciting enough for her, sorry Hads!

We met up with my cousin's and their families there.
My cousin's Cris and Richard each have their kiddos, Zeke and Anyssa on a soccer team. They happened to be playing at the same time, so it was a nice surprise to run in to them.
Above, Emma is with my cousin Richard, Ricardo Jr. and Victoria. Turns out she likes bikes.

We went back to the house and got cleaned up and then headed to the mall.
We borrowed Abuelita's sit and stand stroller, what a huge help that was!

Hadley and Douggie rode the train. Emma and I waited for them, poor Emma feel asleep so she missed out.

Then we did a little shopping, and Hadley even picked out her own Christmas present. She asked if she could have it now, and I had to tell her that she couldn't because I was going to wrap it and send it to her. I guess she will have to work on her fake surprise face.

Then we had dinner at Red Robin, yummy fries! Don't worry Ryan and Megan... Hadley didn't eat just fries, I made sure she ate some of her chicken too.

You wanna know how I got her to eat her chicken?
I bribed her with a treat, and it worked wonderfully!

After Red Robin we stopped at the Nordstrom Espresso Bar to pick up a cookie for Hads.
As you can tell from the snicker doodle crumbs all over her face, she loved it!

Add Video
Then it was bath time!
You think they had enough toys? Every single one had to come out of the basket and into the water.

Then we got the kiddos all cozy in their jammies.
With milk and formula in hand we had a little story time together.

We had a wonderful night with you little Hadley! Can't wait to see your little face in the morning.

Thank you Abuelita Rose for watching the kiddos while we played soccer, and for letting us use your sit and stand. You are always such a huge help!

We got a little taste of 2 kiddos today, and wow we had out hands full!
But we had smiles on our faces the entire time!
