Any minute now!!!

We just got home from visiting Tim and Heather at the hospital.

I am on pins and needles because when I last left she was over 8 cm dilated and getting closer to pushing.

Heather and Tim, don't they look so excited?!

We are all so excited as well, and can't wait to meet little Rachel!

I plan on visiting in the morning and I can't wait to post pictures of Emma's new friend.

Emma, meet your friend Harv!

Yesterday evening we headed down to the Frazier house for a little BBQ after the boys played golf. This weekend was the 1st time Matt Harvey had the chance to meet the little ladies.

Here is Harv holding Emma and Audrey, he did a great job and he looks like he enjoyed it!

Adorable little Audrey joined us out at the table in her Bumbo seat for dinner.

Here is Audrey's precious room.  So cute and so girlie, I love it!

We had a great time seeing you Harvey, and can't wait  for the girls to get a little older so that they can play with you.

Thanks to Mark, Courtney and Audrey for hosting a yummy BBQ!

Sunday with the family.

Yesterday was just another Sunday with the family.
Douggie went golfing with Matt and Mark, so Emma and I kept to our usual routine.
We went to church and then over to my parent's house for lunch.
Here is Emma in her fancy little dress for church.

Jacob playing soccer.

I love Sundays!!!

Block Party!!!

This Saturday our neighborhood had it's annual block party.
And true to it's form it was a blast!  Also true to it's form we drank too much there, maybe that is why we had such a great time?!

All of the kids doing craft projects and games.

Mommy and Emma.

Daddy and Emma.

Then trouble started. Trays after trays of Quaffers (Guava juice and tequila, shown above) were passed around.  I only took one, I am not sure how many Douggie took.  In fact, I am not sure if he knows how many he took! :)
My weakness was the damn beer bong, for some stupid reason I felt the need to take on a challenge from our neighbor's son.  I held my own against a cheating, 30 some year old who was cut off by his mom and then passed out.  I guess I have still got it in me, but I don't think I should be proud of that.

We also invited our friends Matt and Jessica to join us.  Here is Jessica, me and Emma.

We had a great time with all of our neighbors!

Doodlebug Designs!

Last night Doug and I hosted a Doodlebug party.  Doodlebug is a local company that creates beautiful hand and feet impressions for children.  They normally visit children's boutiques and you sign up for appointments, but that's no fun.  Instead we had them come to us and invited over some of our friends and their little kiddos.  We had such a great time!

This is their amazing selection of samples.  If that weren't enough to choose from you can also mix and match all of the color options.  So many choices made for lots of moms changing their minds.  I can't wait to see the finished products!

Here are Tera and Ebit placing their orders with Kelly.

Kristyn and Jillian.

Audrey getting her foot prints.

Can there be anything cuter than this picture?!  The 3 little ladies all were hanging out in the pack n play so we snapped lots of pictures.  How cute is Audrey sucking on Jillian's arm! These gals will be the best of friends!

We even got a little video.  Poor Audrey was in the middle and the girls kept hitting her in the face.  We decided to flip Jillian and Emma around, and as you will see in the video Audrey made up for the punches by sending back a few kicks.  All in good fun, she is quite the entertainer and was just having a good time.  I love these ladies!

A great big thank you to everyone who was able to make it:
Cris and her daughter Anyssa - 5 years old
Danielle and her daughter Corinne - 8 weeks old
Ebit and her son Jacob - 3 1/2 years old
Tera and her daughter Riley - 3 years old & her son Maverick 18 months
Kristyn and her daughter Jillian - 4 months
Courtney and her daughter Audrey - 15 weeks
Stepheni and her daughter Taylyr - 11 years old & her son Chase 16 months
and of course our little Emma - 11 weeks

We can't wait to do it again!

So sad, yet so happy!

I am so sad because my favorite little children's boutique in town is closing.  I decided to stop by and see if I could find any great buys...

and did I ever!

Look at these lovely little numbers!  I found 3 adorable pairs of Smallers for Emma, aren't they perfect?!

So funny that we just received this sign as a gift from our super fun family from Washington. Thank you Ryan, Megan and Hadley!  You are sure right, Emma and I are shoe princesses.  But a girl can never have too many shoes!

So I am sad Lola Butter will be closing, but I am happy I was able to make one last great purchase from them!

11 Weeks!!!

Another week has flown by!

Our little gal looking like such a big girl!

This is Emma's new BFF "Rodger II (deuce)."  He is different from the original Rodger, because deuce makes cute birdie sounds.  Emma loves him and has really started to grab a hold of him.  She looks so cute when she concentrates on him, tongue out and all!

We love you Emma!

Barney's Blog Added

To those who have never seen the CBS show "How I Met Your Mother," you may not quite understand the humor associated with our most recently added blog; "Barney's Blog."  Barney's posts are associated with the most recent episode of the TV show so they may not make much sense unless you watch the show.

The funniest thing about Barney is that he is played by Doogie Howser MD as a big time ladies man, and in real life...he's not.

Hipity Hopity Easter on it's way...

Today Emma went to visit the Easter Bunny.  She behaved fabulously for him.  It was probably the quickest Easter Bunny experience ever.  We walked up to no line, took Emma out of her seat, passed her to the bunny, she looked back at him then looked right at the camera, perfect! I would have loved a big smile from her, but this picture is still adorable.

Here is a close up of Emma's Easter Bunny dress.  Isn't it adorable?  It was a gift from my good friend Maria.  It is a little bit big still, but we couldn't wait to wear it!

Congratulations Potts!

This afternoon I went to Jenn Potts bridal shower.  I used to work with Potts when I worked at Chili's.

Here is our toilet paper bride model Emily.  Fun game but with a twist this time.  Instead of creating a bride's dress we were asked to create lingerie out of toilet paper.  It got a little crazy and way too creative, that's why I can't show any pictures of the final products.

The beautiful spread, complete with ring topped mini cupcakes and a rice crispy treat cake.  Potts is famous for her rice crispy treats.

Here are all of the Chili's girls.  At one point we all worked there together.  Such a fun and crazy group of ladies!

The bride to be Potts and Stepheni.

Fish Fry Friday.

Last night we went to our Church Fish dinner.  They have them every Friday during Lent, but last night was special, because Papa Bob was volunteering there.  We picked up Grandma Rose and headed over.

We went to visit him and luckily he was able to take a break and join us.

We also met up with my cousin Cris, her husband David and their daughter Anyssa. Of course we also saw Maggie there.  She works at church and practically lives there, so no church activity would be complete without her! It made me realize how much I love church activities,  we ran into so many old friends, and had a great time.

A day at the office.

On Friday morning I went into work for a couple of hours.  I decided to take Emma with me.  Overall it went well and I was able to work, but I wasn't able to get as much done as I had hoped.   Oh well, at least she brightened up my day at work!

Congrats Tim & Heather...

The Sports Center family is getting bigger.
Soon Heather and Tim will be welcoming their daughter Rachel.  A few of us got together to celebrate with our co-worker Tim.  Heather used to work with us, so that makes it even more special to share in their joy.
Here is Peter, Bri, me, Tim, Heather and Pat.

Looking forward to meeting Rachel and to seeing Tim hold his little girl!  Heather as well, of course. :)

10 weeks today!!!

Today is Emma's 10 week birthday!

It may not seem possible, but we fall more and more in love with her everyday!  She is such a good girl and is almost always a very happy baby.  Just last night as Doug and I were going to bed we said to ourselves that we really got lucky, she is a PERFECT little girl!

She is still smiling more and more.
She coos so cutely.
She sleeps so well and almost always through the night.
and most importantly she has stolen our hearts!

So cute sleeping and resting on her hand.

Gotta love those skinny little legs!

I can't get enough of her sleeping, she looks so peaceful.

We love you Emma Rose!

Happy Birthday Heather & Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This evening the preggo pals celebrated Heather's Birthday.  Today is not Heather's real birthday, but she is due just days before, so we thought we would get together before Rachel came.  I guess we can't call ourselves the preggo pals anymore, since Heather is the last to have her baby.  We can't wait to meet Rachel!!!

Heather and Kristyn.

Adorable Jillian, who had the cutest Vans on.  I am bummed I forgot to take a picture of them.

Mommy and Emma.

We had a great time having mommy chat!  Kristyn and I tried to give Heather lots of advice for what to expect with labor and when little Rachel comes.

Thanks for a great evening ladies!

Another package of newborns...

When Emma was about 3 weeks old I thought, we only have a few more days of her in newborn diapers, boy was I wrong.  Doug and I have been buying just one pack at a time, because we keep thinking she will be growing out of them, not yet.  What size diaper she is in makes no difference to me, other than we have a whole closet FULL of size 1 and 2 diapers that we can't use yet.
Even though she weighs more than the 10 pounds these go up to, they still fit because of her little waist.  I really do think she will be ready for her size 1's soon, which will save us a lot of $!  And who doesn't love saving a little money now and then?!

Just another Sunday evening...

After the bridal shower today we went to my parent's house for some Filipi's pizza, yummy!

Of course the pizza was even better because of the company.
Here are Ebit, my mom, uncle Mike, aunt Cindy and Grandpa Fred.
My aunt and uncle are in town from Seattle so they came to visit and brought my aunt's dad Fred as well.  It is always good to see them!

LOVE this little gal!  How could you not with these adorable smiles?!

And her outfit is pretty cute as well!

I can't get over how cute her tights and new little Robeez are.  They are both still a little big, but they look so precious!

Allyson's bridal shower.

This afternoon Emma and I went to my good friend Allyson's bridal shower.  Allyson was one of my best friends in high school, and I am so excited for her exciting new life ahead of her!
Currently Allyson lives in Virginia, but thankfully her parents still live here in town, so we get to see her more often.

Here is the beautiful bride to be!

Allyson, mommy and Emma

We can't wait until the big day!

A little Daddy time!

The evening started out with a little play time.

Looks like both Daddy and Emma like Roger the robin.

Then Daddy gave Emma her bath. I love her little tongue sticking out! :)

All cozy!!! And so so cute!

Corona had to sniff Emma to make sure she was clean enough.

All ready for bed.  Daddy even did Emma's last two feedings and stayed up with her until 3 am.  It was so nice to get some extra sleep, thank you Douggie!
